Presented is a fine quality, Chinese export silver salad or serving set made by CJ & Co in the early 1900s. Both handles, the bowl of the spoon and the tines of the fork are guaranteed to be at least 900 purity silver. The handles are in a very Art Deco form, with a sort of column style. Each one has a nice monogram of the letter D. This style clearly indicates a production date from the 1920s or perhaps early 1930s.
These pieces can be used individually as well is together. They can also be used for serving much more than just salad.
Both pieces are marked CJ & Co, silver and have a Chinese character. Tested and guaranteed to be at least 900 purity silver.
This set is in great condition. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs.
The spoon measures 10 inches long, the fork measures 10 inches long. The handles are very thick and everything is quite heavy. The handles are hollow and there is no filler or weighting. All of the weight is silver. The combined weight of the pair is 280 grams or 9.9 ounces.
