Antique Victorian/Georgian 10k Gold Mens Oval Cufflinks
Presented is a good pair of 10k gold cufflinks from the 19th century. The
cufflinks are ovals of gold with a rectangular center cartouche for engraving.
On the edges of the rectangles are nicely etched scrolls. These cufflinks have a
lovely antique look and feel, though we are not sure if they date to the early or
late 1800s. The cartouches do show some wear to the gold and may have possibly
had a monogram removed. The backs of two ovals, one on each cufflink, have
small dents. This is not evident from the front.
The cufflinks have no hallmarks, but we have tested them with nitric acid and
guarantee them to be 10k gold.
Overall, these are charming pieces. These are sizeable enough to be worn with
any shirt. These cufflinks are in good shape and there are no cracks, no breaks,
no repairs, no monograms, and, other than the back dents, no problems of any
kind.
The cufflinks are 1/2 inch wide.
The cufflinks weigh: 7.4 grams.
