Antique Victorian 10K Gold & Carved Shell Cameo Portrait Pin/Brooch/Pendant

Presented is an antique, 10 karat yellow gold and cameo pin or brooch made during the mid to late 1800s. This Victorian piece has a lovely, openwork and leaf form mounting that is securely bezel set with a beautifully hand carved shell cameo portrait of a woman. The back has a retractable bale to hang the piece as a necklace pendant. The clasp is a replacement and it works very well.

The clasp is marked 10K. The actual pin mounting has been tested and is guaranteed to be gold purity.

This piece is in excellent overall condition.

The cameo measures 2 by 1 3/4 inches.
