Presented is a fine sterling silver sugar spoon by Towle Silversmiths. The spoon is done in the Old Colonial pattern which was first produced in 1895. The spoon has an elegant fluted bowl covered with a nice gold wash.
This piece is in great overall condition. The details of the pattern are nice and crisp. There is some wear to the gilding on the back of the bowl, namely to the high points of the ridges. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The spoon is stamped on the back with the maker's mark for Towle as well as sterling and 925/1000.
The spoon is about 6 inches long.
The spoon weighs 33.1 grams or 1.2 regular ounces.
