Regular price
$4,020.00
Presented is an antique, sterling silver pedestal or raised bowl/dish made by Tiffany & Company during the last quarter of the 19th century. This Victorian piece is huge and would make an impressive statement on any table as a centerpiece or fruit bowl. The handles and rim are beautifully decorated with separately cast and applied leaf, flower and shell designs that are very crisp and detailed. The center has a small applied, round plaque that has an old, original monogram of the initials JAC of JM in fancy script.
The underside is marked with the Tiffany & Company sterling silver mark used between 1873 and 1891.
This piece is in excellent overall condition for its age and the designs are still crisp. There is minor surface wear commensurate with age and use as well as a small dent to the bowl, but there are no other flaws and no repairs.
Diameter: 12 3/4 inches.
Length from handle to handle: 15 1/2 inches.
Height: 6 1/4 inches.
Total Weight: 1,451 grams or 3.2 pounds.
