Presented is an antique, sterling silver serving spoon made by the Whiting Manufacturing Company during the late 1800s or very early 1900s. This piece is in the Pompadour pattern, which was patented in 1898. This piece is old, original production. This is a very pretty, Victorian style pattern. The front of the handle has a lovely, script monogram of the letter H.
The back is marked for Whiting, sterling silver and has a retailer's mark for Black, Starr & Frost.
This piece is in great overall condition. There is light surface wear commensurate with age and use, but no damages and no repairs.
