Presented is an antique, sterling silver fruit, flower or centerpiece basket made by Birks of Canada during the late 1800s or early 1900s. This is a very tall and ornate piece. The body, handle and foot rim are pierced with design. There are beautiful, applied flower decorations along the rim. This piece has never been monogrammed. The handle is tight to the body and stands upright on its own.
The underside is marked Birks and sterling.
This piece is in excellent condition.
The diameter at the top is 7 3/4 inches.
The body is 9 1/2 inches tall and the whole piece with the handle upright is 16 3/4 inches tall.
