Presented is a wonderful sterling silver asparagus fork by Gorham, in the Lancaster pattern. The fork is pierced in flower shapes and has attractive beading on the stem, up to the rose and leaf decorated handle. This is a large serving fork, originally used for asparagus but suitable to many foods. The handle is monogrammed 'AJS' in elegant script. This piece was made by Gorham in the early to mid 1900s for retail by Morck & Kirberger.
The stem is stamped with the hallmark for Gorham, sterling, and the retailer Morck & Kirberger.
The fork is in great condition. There are no bends, no breaks, no repairs, and no monogram removals.
The fork is approximately 9 1/8 inches long.
The fork weighs 88.6 grams.
