Presented is an antique, silverplate punch or soup ladle made by the Whiting Manufacturing Company during the last quarter of the 1800s. This late 19th century, Art Nouveau piece is in the Honeysuckle aka New Honeysuckle pattern, which was patented in 1874. The handle is beautifully decorated with honeysuckle flowers over a stippled, matte finish background.
The back is marked for Whiting and has a patent date of 1874.
This piece is in great overall condition for its age. The designs on the handle are very crisp.
There is wear to the bowl that can be buffed out.
