Antique Radiant Pearl 14k Gold Platinum Sunburst Star Pin/Brooch

Presented is a fine quality and very attractive 14k gold & pearl pin. The pearls have nice color and luster, and are in excellent condition. The largest pearl in the center is approximately 5 mm. There are 41 pearls in this pin.

All the pearls are half drilled and glued. None of them are loose. One or two pearls appear to have been re glued, but none of them are damaged, and all are secure. The end tips of each ray of pearls is platinum, but the base is 14k gold. The pin back has been replaced with a modern clasp. It is noticeable from the reverse, but not from the front.

Some of the arms have slight bends which have been straightened. None of the arms are bent and none are weak, the metal is strong, and the pin is strong.

This pin is 1 5/8 inches in diameter. The total weight is 6 grams. I am enclosing a clutch back with this auction, the clutch back will prevent loss of the pin. This pin probably dates from the late 1800's to 1910. A fine quality and very attractive piece of jewelry.
