Presented is a fabulous pair of porcelain or fine china flower vases made during the mid 1800s. The pair is most likely French in origin and they are a very good size, they could even be used as floor vases. Each trumpet form vase is laboriously hand painted with an incredibly detailed landscape scene. The lovely outdoor scenes look like they could take place anywhere between the 17th and 19th centuries, with a castle and cottages.
The vases are in great condition with no damages and no repairs. There is some slight wear to the gold bands of design along the top portions and there appears to be some loss of paint, or some small repainted section to one of the painted scenes, but it is overly a portion that is only trees and bushes, so it is not very noticeable unless you are really inspecting the piece.
Each vase measures about 7 inches in diameter at the widest part and is 13 1/2 inches tall.
