Presented is an antique Japanese Satsuma porcelain or pottery bowl made during the early 1900s. This Meiji period piece is completely hand painted and gilded. The outside is cobalt blue and has gold accents. The inside is finely hand painted with a detailed outdoor scene featuring two Geisha and two children.
The underside is marked with a Japanese character signature.
This piece is in excellent overall condition for its age. There is wear to the gilding on the outside of the bowl but there are no chips or cracks.
