Presented is a wonderful old antique Japanese porcelain charger or large round serving plate. This piece dates to around the mid 1800s. The charger is beautifully decorated in the typical colors of the Imari palette, rust red, cobalt blue, and light green, with gold gilt detailing. The dish features lavish decoration in the form of a lion and peonies, a pair of cranes, and various trees and plants with mountains in the background.
This piece is in excellent condition. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs.
