Presented is an antique, solid sterling silver fish server made by the Howard Sterling Company during the very late 1800s or early 1900s. This piece is in the Lafayette pattern, which was patented in 1898. This piece is old, original production. The server is a good size and could be used to serve anything, not just fish! The handle has beaded decorations and the back has a nice monogram of the letter D done in a Gothic script.
The back of the handle is marked for Howard Sterling Co and sterling silver purity.
This piece is in excellent overall condition and the designs are crisp. There is only minor surface wear commensurate with age and use, but no damages and no repairs.
