Presented is an antique, sterling silver punch or soup ladle made by Tiffany & Company during the late 19th century. This piece is in the Chrysanthemum pattern, which was patented in 1880 and it is old, original production. This is a large and heavy weight piece. The whole handle is cast with detailed chrysanthemum flowers and their leaves. The front of the handle has an old monogram of the initials EW.
The back is marked for Tiffany, sterling silver purity, patent 1880 and bears the M mark for production between 1873 and 1891.
This piece is in great overall condition, especially considering the age. The designs are crisp. The bowl has some surface wear, but no dents.
