Presented is an antique, gold plated and stone belt buckle made during the late 1800s or very early 1900s. The mounts for the stone are done in an intricate filigree design. The two ends are set with large, natural amethyst cabochons and the center has a natural jade cabochon. The amethysts are 23 millimeters in diameter and the jade is 16 millimeters in diameter.
This piece is in excellent overall condition for its age. There is some surface wear to the stones and wear to the gold plating but there are no breaks and no repairs.
The buckle measures 3 1/2 inches wide.
