Presented is an antique, German silver makeup compact for powder or talc made during the late 1800s or early 1900s. The round compact depicts a detailed tavern scene of 3 men around a table. The inside of the compact has a gold wash.
The back bears the German crown and crescent moon hallmark for Germany, 800 for the silver purity and a maker's mark.
This piece is in great overall condition and the raised designs are crisp. The box closes tightly. No dents or repairs.
