Presented is a fine antique English stag handle, silver plate crumber or fish server. This piece dates to the late 1800s or early 1900s and was made by Hukin & Heath. The blade of the server is beautifully engraved with classical foliate scrollwork decoration, while the handle is made from a piece of stag antler, left in its natural texture. The ferrule connecting the handle to the business end is likely sterling silver.
This piece is in great overall condition. The handle is well attached, with no looseness, no splits, and no chips. The blade has a couple of little whacks or nicks to the edge; please view the photos carefully. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The underside is stamped with the maker's mark for Hukin & Heath and EP.
