Presented is a fine English Georgian sterling silver platter, serving, or stuffing spoon. This piece dates to 1805. The spoon is done in a classic design with a downward curve to the end of the handle. The handle of the spoon is long, suitable for stuffing or whatever serving use you prefer. The end of the handle has a monogram of B in elegant script.

This piece is hallmarked on the underside with the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard's head crowned for the city of London, the date letter K for 1805, King George III's head duty mark, and the maker's mark of IL, possibly for John Lewis, John Lias, or John Lawton.

This piece is in great condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no cracks, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

The spoon is about 11 3/8 inches long.

This piece weighs 97.3 grams or 3.4 regular ounces.
