Antique Dutch Colonial Style Silver Ocean Genre Scene Yolk Pastry Pie Server
Presented is an antique, Dutch silver pie, pastry or cake server made in 1925. This piece is done in a Dutch Colonial, 19th century style. The ornate base is done in an openwork form with flourishes surrounding a beautifully chased genre scene of a woman and child on a shore watching a sailboat on the ocean. The open, twisted handle is topped with a woman that has a yolk with two buckets on her shoulders. This is a unique piece that was handcrafted with time and attention to detail.
The server bears the Dutch lion passant for sterling silver, the Minerva head duty mark and a date letter P for the year 1925.
This piece is in excellent condition, especially for its age and the designs are crisp. There are no damages or repairs.
