Presented is a nice antique Dutch 833 purity silver pierced berry ladle. The ladle is done in a classical Dutch pattern. The bowl or business end of the ladle is pierced to drain sauce. The bowl is made in the shape of a flower. This piece is light weight. Let the photos be your guide.
The ladle was made circa 1846.
This piece is marked the Dutch assay marks; the date letter “M” corresponding to the year 1846, the Lion Rampant for 833 purity silver and the Minerva Head duty mark.
The ladle is in good overall condition. There is a solder repair at the end of the handle where the bowl meets the shaft. Otherwise, there are no problems.
