Antique Durgin New Vintage Sterling Silver Casserole Serving Spoon Cracker Scoop
Regular price
$352.80
Presented is a fine quality, sterling silver serving piece made by Durgin and retailed by Bigelow, Kennard & Company. We believe this piece to be a cracker or casserole scoop or perhaps a rice or potato serving spoon. This piece is in the New Vintage pattern, which was patented by Durgin in 1904. This piece is old, original production. The handle is wonderful chased with a detailed grape bunch and leaves at the tip. The large bowl is fluted and has a nice gold wash.
The back is marked with the Durgin hallmark, sterling and Bigelow, Kennard & Co.
This piece is in excellent overall condition. There is wear to the gold wash on the bowl. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals and no repairs.
The scoop measures 8 7/8 inches long and weighs 114.4 grams or 4 ounces.
