Presented is an antique, sterling silver serving spoon made by Durgin during the late 1800s or very early 1900s. This piece is in the Madame Royal pattern, which was patented in 1897. The handle and bowl are beautifully decorated with raised leaves and flourishes.
The back is marked for Durgin, sterling and has a retailer's mark for Bigelow, Kennard & Co.
This piece is in excellent overall condition, especially for its age. The designs are crisp and this piece has never been monogrammed.
