Presented is an antique, American coin silver youth or child flatware set made by John Polhemus during the mid 19th century. This set is in the Oriental pattern and was made around the 1860s. The pieces are in a decorative, Victorian pattern and the front of each handle has an old, original monogram of the initials MSF.
Each piece is marked for John Polhemus, patent 1855 and E.A. Tyler NO for the retailer (the NO is for New Orleans). Tested and guaranteed to be at least 900 purity silver.
This set is in great overall condition for its age. There is some surface wear, but there are no damages or repairs.
