Presented is a lovely little carved shell cameo pin in a heavy 14K gold frame. The cameo is nicely carved to depict a young woman with stylized hair. The pin is securely set in a 14K yellow gold bezel frame with a butterfly clasp. The cameo was almost certainly carved in Italy in the second half of the 1800s.
The underside of the pin is stamped 14K. We have tested the pin with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 14K gold. The condition is excellent. There are no splits, no breaks, and no repairs.
The pendant measures 1 1/4 inch long by 7/8 inches wide.
