Presented is a fine sterling silver serving fork or asparagus server made by Frank W. Smith during the 1920s or 1930s. This piece is in the Priscilla pattern, which was patented in 1924. The back has a retailer mark for Howard & Company, which went out of business in 1937. The front of the handle has an old, original monogram of the initials J.DeF.T.
The back is marked for Towle, sterling silver purity and Howard & Co.
This piece is great overall condition with only minimal surface wear. Originally the back of the tines had a gold wash, which is now mostly worn.
