Presented is a superb Tiffany & Co sterling silver oval platter. This piece dates to 1907-1947. The platter is done in a simple oval form, with a bright mirror finish. The platter is quite sturdy and well made from thick, heavy gauge silver. There is an old monogram of SS in the center of the platter, which is quite worn.
This piece is in great overall condition. The monogram is worn with time, but this is not an attempted removal. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The underside of the piece is stamped with the Tiffany & Co. maker's mark, sterling 925-1000 and the initial 'M' for the company director between 1907-1947, John C. Moore II.
The platter measures about 16 by 12 inches, LxW.
This piece weighs 1307 grams or 46.1 regular ounces.
