Presented is a wonderful quality sterling silver coffeepot made by Stone Associates. After Arthur Stone sold the company in 1936 it continued under the name Stone Associates. Most of the old master silversmiths still remained and so did the quality. The coffeepot has an elegant smooth finish design with threaded decoration at the base and a lovely leaf decoration to the spout. The pot has an ivory finial and insulators. The delicate hand hammering can be seen on the inside of the pot. Fabulous work.
The coffee pot is marked on the underside with the maker’s mark for Stone Associates, Sterling, and the letter T for the craftsman, Herbert A. Taylor, who was working for Stone from 1908 to 1937.
The condition is excellent. The hinge works well. The lid fits beautifully. The teapot has a few little dings here and there, but this is quite minor. It is very clean on the interior and ready to use. There are no splits, no breaks, and no repairs.
The teapot measures approximately 9 1/2 inches from handle to spout and 7 1/4 inches tall.
The capacity is approximately 5 to 6 cups.
The weight is 765.5 grams or 27 ounces.
