Presented is a fine quality set of 7 French silver large tablespoons or serving spoons by the fine quality Paris silversmiths, Olier & Caron. This highly regarded firm was active in the early 1900s, perhaps even in the 1800s. The spoons are done in an elegant threaded pattern with ribbon decoration around the handles. I see this pattern produced by many of the finer French and European makers.
The spoons are hallmarked on the bowls with the Mercury mark for French 800 purity silver and a maker’s mark of OC for Olier and Caron.
The condition is excellent. The spoons have some surface wear commensurate with age and light use, but this is minor. There are no dents, no dings, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals, no breaks, and no repairs.
The spoons are 8 7/8 inches long. This is the huge European size, and quite heavy.
