Presented is a vintage, Russian silver serving spoon by V. Gordon of St. Petersburg made circa 1900. The handle is done in a paneled form with a pointed tip. All parts have a matte finish, except the interior of the bowl has a high finish.
The side of the handle is marked with the Russian zolotniki symbol of 84 for 84/96 parts silver or .875 purity silver and a maker’s mark written in Cyrillic for V. Gordon.
This piece is in fabulous overall condition. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals and no repairs.
The spoon measures 7 3/4 inches long and weighs 64.3 grams or 2.3 ounces.
