Regular price
$532.80
Presented is a gorgeous, German silver and cut glass vase made during the late 1800s or very early 1900s. The glass vase has a ruffled rim and is elegantly cut with frosted flowers and leaves. The cut work is very detailed and of fine quality, the flowers look shaded and are engraved with detail. The quality of the glass and cutting is much better than the photographs show. The ornately designed base of the piece is made from 800 purity silver and is done in an openwork form. The whole base is elaborately cast and chased with a grape vine motif amongst flowing scroll decorations.
The bottom of the piece is marked Germany, 800 for the silver purity and it bears a maker’s mark for J.D. Schleissner & Sohne.
This piece is in fabulous overall condition and the designs are extremely crisp. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals and no repairs.
The piece measures 4 1/2 inches in diameter and is 4 7/8 inches tall.
