Presented is a lovely, French 18 karat yellow gold bar pin made around the turn of the 20th century. The center of the pin, the white part, is platinum. The center is set with a natural pearl and surrounded by 8 rose cut diamonds. The plunger style clasp is very secure and has to be rotated and pulled out in the correct position to unlock.
The piece is marked twice with the French 18 karat gold eagle’s head mark and a diamond shaped punch for the maker’s mark.
This piece is in excellent overall condition. There are no missing stones, no dents, no breaks and no repairs.
The pin measures 2 1/2 inches wide and weighs 2.9 grams.
