Presented is an antique, Dutch silver serving spoon made during the late 1800s or early 1900s. This Art Nouveau style piece has a windmill decoration at the top of the twisted handle with rotating blades. One of the blades is missing, but it could be repaired. The bowl is beautifully decorated with scrolls surrounding the crest of Amsterdam. The strainer style spoon is hand crafted and is a very decorative piece.
The piece is marked with the Dutch Minerva head mark and the lion passant for a minimum of 833 purity silver. The windmill is also marked with a duty mark.
This piece is in great condition for its age, besides the missing blade of the windmill. The designs are crisp.
