Presented is a dramatic and very pretty antique Chinese enameled brass box in a distinct and classic Asian shape of a temple. This enameled box was produced between late 1800's and early 1900's. The red, yellow, green and blue enamel highlights numerous raised images all around and on top of the piece. Illustrated scenes include temples, fruit, flowers and portraits of faces.
The bottom of the box is stamped "CHINA".
The condition of the box is excellent with very trivial, tiny enamel losses expected for its age. The top of the box closes perfectly. There are no damages or repairs.
