Antique c1895 European 800 Silver Hand Chased Repousse Cherub Vanity Trinket Box

Presented is a wonderful quality, European box made during the late 19th or very early 20th century. This antique piece was made between the 1890s and 1910. This very decorative piece could be used as a dresser, trinket, pill or makeup box. The top is beautifully hand chased with detailed cherubs or putti playing instruments. The lid has a flower and scroll border and the side of the box has an acanthus leaf and of design.

The underside bears a maker's mark and 800 for the silver purity.

This piece is in great overall condition, and the designs are crisp. There are no damages or repairs. The hinge works well and the lid fits tight.
