Presented is a charming little antique Dutch silver tea caddy scoop or spoon. This piece dates to the late 1800s or early 1900s. The bowl of the scoop is made in a wide almost shovel type of shape, and is wonderfully decorated with a charming scene of a Dutch milkmaid carrying two pails, surrounded by a lively pastoral scene including a milk cow. The handle is made in a twist design ending in a figural terminal of a classic Dutch windmill, with spinning blades and a little bird perched on the top.
The bowl of the piece is stamped with a Dutch small article mark guaranteeing at least 833 purity silver, and a maker's mark that looks like G7S.
This piece is in excellent condition. The details of the designs are nice and crisp. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
