Antique c1890s 14K Yellow Gold Diamond Red Enamel Flower Heart Pin Brooch
Regular price
$609.00
Presented is an antique 14 karat yellow gold, diamond and enamel pin or small brooch made in America during the late 1800s or very early 1900s. This piece was made in America, most likely in New Jersey or New York during the 1890s. This Art Nouveau piece is done in an open heart form, featuring a very realistically rendered flower in red enamel that is set in the center with a sparkling old mine cut diamond, with another red and green flower bud behind and a leaf flourish beneath. The flower, the bud, and the leaf are all very finely textured and detailed, making this a very attractive piece.
The clasp is stamped 14K. This piece has been nitric acid tested and is guaranteed to be 14 karat gold purity. The pin is in great condition, considering its age. There is some loss to the enamel, as you can see in the photographs, and few very tiny dings along the heart shaped frame, but these flaws are only visible upon very close inspection of the piece. The flower could be re-enameled or painted to make this loss of color less noticeable, as well.
Length: 1 1/8 inches.
Weight: 3.1 grams.
