Presented is a gorgeous, antique French Limoges porcelain or fine china dresser/vanity box made by Tressemanes & Vogt during the late 1800s. The cobalt blue, round box has beautifully gilt accents with raised enamel bead decorations. The center is finely hand painted by a French artist with a lovely portrait of a young child.
The underside is marked for Tressemanes & Vogt and France. The portrait is signed McLean.
This piece is in excellent condition considering its age and fragility. there are some missing enameled beads but it isn't very noticeable overall. There is a small chip to the rim that has been re-gilt as you can see in the las photograph. There are no other flaws.
The box measures 6 1/4 inches in diameter and is 3 1/8 inches tall.
