Presented is a wonderful set of 11 American sterling silver demitasse spoons by Gorham. These spoons date to around the 1870s or 1880s. The spoons have a lovely bright cut pattern on the handle. The terminal of each handle has a cartouche outlined by the pattern, perfect for a monogram of your choice. These are handsome and well made silver pieces, with a nice feeling of weight in the hand.
The spoons are in great overall condition. The details of the pattern are quite crisp. Four of the spoons have some minor wear to the tips of the bowls, which is insignificant and does not affect their use. As always, let the photos guide your judgment in this regard. There are no splits, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
Each spoon is hallmarked with the maker's mark for Gorham as well as 'sterling'.
