Antique c1870s Copeland Tall Pedestal Compote Cake Stand Wildflowers Butterfly

Presented is a lovely, gilded, creamy white antique dessert stand or pedestal compote produced in the middle to late 1800's by Copeland of England. The platter features a colorful arrangement of wildflowers and grasses where a large swallowtail butterfly and red ladybug light amidst the stems.
The underside of the stand bears the W. T. Copeland of Stoke-on-Trent England maker's mark indicating the date of the piece to be between 1851 and 1885. There is also a hand-written identifying number in red.
The condition of this antique is quite good for its age. The stand displays beautifully with some wear to the painted scene and gilded rim borders. There are no cracks anywhere, but there are two small chips in the underside of the rim, as we show you in our well-focused photos.
Dimensions: The diameter of the platter is 9 1/2 inches.
The height is 4 1/2 inches.
Base diameter is 4 1/2 inches. tm
