Presented is a fabulous quality, sterling silver, twist style master butter knife or cheese slice made by John Wendt and retailed by Shreve, Crump & Low between the 1860s and the 1880s. The handle is in the Florentine pattern. It is very decorative and has never been monogrammed. The blade has a ruffled edge on the top and has a fancy, original monogram of the name Emma.


The blade is marked Shreve, Crump & Low and 925 for sterling silver purity.


This piece is in excellent overall condition for its age and the designs are crisp.
