Presented is an antique, American coin silver soup or punch ladle made by Ebenezer Knowlton Lakeman of Salem, MA during the early 19th century. This piece was made around the 1820s. The handle is done in a Fiddle form and the top has a raised decoration of an overflowing basket of fruit and flowers above a monogram of the name C Weston. This is a large, great quality piece.
The back is marked E.K. Lakeman. This piece is guaranteed to be 900 coin purity silver.
This piece is in great overall condition for its age. The raised basket decoration on the handle is incredibly crisp. There is minor surface wear commensurate with age and use, but no damages and no repairs.
