Antique c1825 American Coin Silver Stevens & Lakeman Salem MA Sugar Tongs

Presented is an antique pair of American coin silver sugar cube or ice tongs made by Stevens & Lakeman of Salem, Massachusetts during the 1820s. This early 19th century piece is done in a classic form and the top of the tongs have an old, original monogram of the initials FJD. The tongs have good tension. 

The inside of each leg is marked Stevens & Lakeman. Tested and guaranteed to be at least 900 purity silver.

This piece is in great overall condition, especially considering age.
