Presented is an antique, English bisque porcelain or pottery teapot made during the first quarter of the 1800s. This classic, early 19th century piece is decorated with raised bands of leaf design and a scene showing a woman next to a fountain on one side and next to a fire or pyre on the other side. The lid is done in a wonderful, secure form, it has a lip that slides easily into place.
This piece is in good condition considering its age. There has been a professional repair to the raised rim around the lid, a crack underneath the repair, a small chip to the top of the handle and a small chip to the spout. There are no other flaws and no other repairs.
The teapot measures 9 1/4 inches from handle to spout and is 5 5/8 inches tall.
