Antique c1800 American Coin Silver Coffin End Cross Engravings Coffee/Tea Spoons
Regular price
$150.00
Presented is a set of 3 antique, American coin silver tea or coffee spoons made during the very early 1800s. The spoons are in the classic Coffin End pattern, which was popularized after the death of George Washington in 1799. The front of each spoon is hand engraved with a cross design.
The back of each spoon is marked JW for the maker. This set is guaranteed to be 900 coin purity silver.
The spoons are in good overall condition considering their age. One spoon has a split to the side of its bowl and two of the bowls have some small dings, but those are the only flaws. The engravings are surprisingly crisp.
Length: 4 3/4 - 4 7/8 inches.
Weight: 18.8 grams.
