Presented is an antique, Miessen German porcelain trembleuse saucer made during the 18th century or possibly the very early 19th century. This is a saucer for a tea or chocolate cup that has a raised, decorative stand in the center. This piece is in the Scattered Flowers pattern, which is similar to many other Meissen flower patterns such as Dresden. The outer rim is gilt and the center stand is done in a decorative, openwork form with raised flower accents. The piece is hand painted with colorful flowers.
It is much easier to find a tea, coffee or chocolate cup to fit with the saucer than it is to find a rare trembleuse saucer.
The underside has the older Meissen mark.
This piece is in excellent condition for its old age. There are two small chips to the rim but no other flaws and no repairs.
The saucer measures 5 1/4 inches in diameter and is 1 1/8 inches tall.
