Antique Art Nouveau Wallace Irian 1902 Cherubs Muse Jelly Cake Pastry Server
Presented is an antique, sterling silver jelly slice or cake server made by Wallace Silversmiths during the very early 1900s. This Art Nouveau piece could be used as a pastry server or a cheese knife/slice! The server is done in the Irian pattern, which was patented in 1902. The handle is beautifully decorated with flowers, leaves and scrolls surrounding a muse and cherubs or little angles. The long base has a very light gold wash. This piece has never been monogrammed.
The only comparison we could find available online for sale had a price on this item of $709! We are offering a much more reasonable price.
The back is marked for Wallace, sterling silver purity and patent 1902.
This piece is in great overall condition, especially considering age. There is minor surface wear and wear to the gold wash on the base, but the designs are crisp and there are no damages or repairs.
