Presented is an antique, sterling silver serving spoon made by Wallace Silversmiths during the late 1800s. This late 19th century, Victorian piece is very decorative and is done in the Louvre pattern, which was patented in 1893. This spoon is old, original production. The whole handle and the top portion of the bowl are ornately decorated with Art Nouveau style flowers, leaves, scrolls and flourishes. The front of the handle has a monogram of the letter M.
The handle is Wallace and sterling silver purity.
This piece is in great condition for its age. The designs on the handle and top of the bowl are very crisp and there is only slight wear to the raised designs in the center of the bowl.
