Presented is a beautiful sterling silver bowl, made by the Woodside Sterling company. This piece dates to the late 1800s or early 1900s. The bowl has an applied border around the rim, featuring large clusters of strawberries surrounded by foliate scrollwork. The decoration is done in nicely detailed high relief, making this a very striking piece.
This piece is in great condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The underside of the bowl is stamped sterling as well as the Woodside Sterling Co maker's mark and the number 2135.
The bowl measures about 8 1/2 inches in diameter and stands about 2 1/2 inches tall.
This piece weighs 232 grams or 8.2 regular ounces.
