Presented is an antique, 14 karat gold, platinum and natural sapphire gemstone pin or small brooch made in America between the 1910s and 1920s. This late Edwardian/ early Art Deco era pin is done in both yellow gold with a platinum top. The top is hand engraved with detail and the center is securely set with a sparkling sapphire. The clasp has a safety latch.
Tested and guaranteed to be 14 karat gold purity.
This piece is in excellent overall condition for its age. The clasp is modern and is certainly a replacement. The original hallmarks were on the clasp, and were lost when the modern safety clasp was put in. The work is top quality, maybe the best replacement I have seen.
